Kareena doesn`t seem to be very happy with all this because she was the one who played muse to the young Johar and Chopra. But far from it, a tete-e-tete with Bipasha Basu makes one believe that this dusky actress, who had been once written off for being "too dark" is not too happy with all the media attention showered on her. "I don`t deserve all the adulation. If at all my films have done well, the credit should go to the director," she told callers frantically calling up to congratulate her for her nominations in a popular film awards recently.

It seems what one receives as bitter criticism in the initial days of one`s career, stays put forever to rankle incessantly. For, the Bengali actress had taken all the fun actresses like Kareena and Aishwarya had at her expense, for being "ugly duckling and crass," too seriously. She is now determined to revamp her image. And has she been able to give herself a face lift?

She is also trimmer and more proportioned than ever before. But inwardly she remains as childlike as ever. When people asked her as to who she believed would be this year`s Best Actress Awardee, she was ready with an answer, "Obviously Rani Mukherjee for her brilliant performance in Saathiya, though it could go to Ash,as well on popular demand!"
