Some years ago in 2004 to be precise we had the film Black Friday release, the film created quite a stir within the Indian populace, however the character Yakub Memon went unnoticed. Later in 2005 the film Socha Na Tha released, this time the man behind the film was recognized, thus was born the new ace director Imtiaz Ali.

After getting rave reviews for his directorial venture Imtiaz set his sights on reaching the top in the world of films, not long after he gave us the smash hit Jab We Met.

The film went on to set new records at the box office and ushered in a new trend for films that geared up not just to entertain the audience but also to rake in the praise and awe they were meant to have.

Today is a special day for this director with yet another film of his, Love Aaj Kal, waiting in the reins for release we take this opportunity to whish Imtiaz a very happy birthday and may he have many more to come along with loads of success in films.
