Following the footsteps of Tamil actor Ajit, southern actress Shriya Saran too has decided not to endorse any soft drink brands.

"I did a soft drink ad some time back. Later, a mother came to me and said that her child started consuming more of that drink after seeing my ad. It made me measure my actions, " said Shriya, who teamed up with Tamil superstar Rajnikant in "Sivaji: The Boss".

A soft drink ad fetches the actresses Rs.5-6 million and one just has to shoot for four-five days for the commercial, while for a movie one has to slog for months and the remuneration is not as good.

Apart from Tamil films, Shriya also featured in Hindi movies "Awarapan" and "Mission Istaanbul".
