Yash Raj Films are diversifying into television production in a big way now. Though earlier they had plans to launch a TV channel of their own, it has been temporarily put on hold. However, there are other big plans in store for them about their grand television entry.

Industry sources reveal, "Their channel launch plans are on hold right because the heads of YRF Television department want to test water before venturing out with their own channel.

Presently they are working on four different shows with Sony Entertainment channel. Sony has recently undergone a major face lift with all new shows being aired so naturally when once the YRF shows take off it will take the channel to unparallel heights for sure."

Another trade source further adds, "It is learnt that YRF will be getting a whopping Rs. 20 lacs per episode for their shows. They however have also added a major clause in their deal with the channel that there will be no executive producers of the channel overlooking any of the workings of the shows."
