Seems like Mahima`s bad patch is far from getting over. Her love life is DOA and film offers have been drying up. So Mahima has chalked out the rescue plan. She has clung onto Ad films. "What`s the harm in doing ad films?" she says, reacting to reports that she will soon feature alongside ex-cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar in a television commercial. "Contrary to what some people think, advertisements have a lot of intrinsic value in educating the public. In fact more and more celebrities should come forward and advertise products that the people should know about", she adds.
Obviously conversant with the topic, Mahima`s marketing spiel can put most professionals to shame. According to her: "There are a lot of substandard products doing the rounds and people have been using their name and fame to sell these. However, on my part I have decided to endorse only those products about which I am convinced. If companies feel I can make a difference to their bottom line, then it is my duty not to disappoint them." Mahima incidentally began her career with a Pepsi ad featuring Aamir Khan.
