Feisty Preity has one feather in her cap. She has won the Red and White bravery award for not turning hostile in the Bharat Shah case. In the case involving the Bollywood nexus with the underworld, Preity is the sole Bollywood celebrity to have stood up for her principles when all others cowered and turned hostile.

Bollywood personalities including Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Rakesh Roshan and Mahesh Manjrekar turned tail when it came to testifying before court. Last week, even Sanjay Dutt denied any links with Chhota Shakeel and said that he was too inebriated to remember that he ever talked to Shakeel on phone.

None could match the courage that Preity showed in spite of being a girl. According to the managing director of Godfrey Phillips, the firm that instituted the award, Preity was chosen for the award for her ‘courageous act.
