John is involved with ‘Habitat of Humanity' and is creating awareness about the campaigning with youth. ‘Habitat of Humanity' is a project that helps poor build their own simple and decent home.
Back in 2007, John generated a lot of buzz, when his Join John's Brigade got a tremendous response that saw millions of youth joining the campaign and volunteering their time for this cause.
For this, the real life hero and Bollywood icon is being given the title of ‘Global Hero of Habitat'. An honor that brings John in the league of other global celebrities the likes of Jon Bon Jovi; who is Habitat's international hero.
John was overjoyed and appealed to the youth to devote their time to this noble cause, he says, "The honor and privilege is all mine and I thank Habitat for the opportunity it has given me, to make a difference to society. I once again appeal to all the youth to come make a difference, by action and let inaction be eliminated from their dictionaries, in helping address the issue of poverty housing in India and around the Globe."
John has been long associated with ‘Habitat of Humanity'; it began with his involvement in the Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter work project at Lonavla in 2006. The actor has since then devoted time to help ‘Habitat of Humanity' to bring about awareness to help the marginalized sections of the society.
It's laudable that John can manage to sneak time from his hectic schedule and endorse such worthwhile cause by setting an example.
