UTV's two top officials Ram Mirchandani and Alpana Mishra have reportedly parted ways with their company. Ram was the founder and Chief Creative Officer for UTV Rampage Motion Picture.

It is learnt that Ram has plans to float his own production company since he intends to produce films independently. Alpana Mishra was the COO of the company and was involved with the film production division of UTV.

Ram was with UTV for many years now and had been the associate producer for their films like Oye Lucky Lucky Oye (2008), Fashion (2008), Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008), Aamir (2008), Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007) and Lakshya (2004). He is also the associate producer for their forthcoming film starring Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D'Souza titled Yahoo.

It was sort of shocking news in the industry circles about the top two officials of UTV parting ways since UTV is considered amongst the topmost corporate production houses of the film industry.

While there has been a strong buzz in the industry circles that the two left due to creative differences, our sources from UTV denied any such thing and stated it was a mutual decision of sorts.
