Main protagonist of UTV's Aage Se Right is a gun, a mean, killing gun that is on a run! Yes you read that right; the film revolves around a gun that is on the run.
Aage Se Right is a story of a cop who has lost
his gun, what follows is series of adventures and the weird mishaps amidst that he is set to find the gun. So the entire marketing and promotion team decided to weave the communication around the gun, hence play
the contest and win a real gun.
What they had not expected was the reaction that they got from the authorities and censor board. Both the authorities have denied the contest promos going on air and giving
the real gun as a prize.
Our source working in Aage Se Right team explains, "Both the authorities felt that we were promoting gun, which is a destructive weapon and the communication can be misused.
What if the gun would fall into wrong hands?
We all live in sensitive times and something like this could be misused. So, we are now not planning to run the contest promos but do online promotion of the
contest."
Shikha Kapur of UTV states in this regard, "Contest is an extension of the film, it is the first phase of a unique campaign that will engage the young movie going audience with an outlandish idea of
winning a gun! It will be of immense appeal to anybody who has dreamt of holding a gun in their life!"
