Yesteryear actress Nirupa Roy in a dowry scandal !

Actress Nirupa Roy who has always played the loving, doting mother and mother-in-law on the big screen is today slapped with a dowry case! A case has been filed by the actress' daughter-in-law Una Roy with Panchkula police, Haryana and a team would be leaving for Mumbai soon.

The charges against the actress include cruelty to women, criminal breach of trust and beating. The team will interrogate Nirupa Roy's son, husband and neighbours in a detailed investigation. The actress´ daughter-in-law alleged in her complaint filed recently that she was subjected to severe mental and physical harassment and cruelty at the hands of Nirupa Roy. She also complained that her in-laws would route black money through her foreign account and beat and threaten her with dire consequences whenever resisted.
