Contilo and Zee's, periodic drama, Rani Lakshmi Bai is finally coming on air from August 18. With this the ongoing show Myaaka will go off air. The gaatha of a brave princess is all set to give a tough competition to Balika Vadhu by getting into the same time slot.

As per the sources, "The timings of the show was initially decided at 8:00 pm. Meera on NDTV Imagine is in the same slot giving a competition to Balika Vadhu and now this upcoming saga on Zee is another one added to the list."

Talking about the star cast our source informs, "Rani Lakshmi Bai will be played by Kratika Sengar while other co actors include Ulka Gupta, Aroona Irani and Mithkesh Chaturvedi."

This show is also co-produced by Nitin Desai. "Thus the viewers will see the huge sets and appeal of the show in the same way as Rani Padmini or Jodha Akhbar. The young girl who is playing the role of Rani Lakshmi Bai is new in this industry, " chirps the little birdie.
