Box-office was literally swayed away by last week's release Love Aaj Kal. Imtiaz Ali's much-waited film has lived up to the hype it had created pre-release, and with its current status has the potential to rule in the
coming weeks. Thus, if films slated to release this week have to click, they got to be extra-ordinarily nice to break the ice.
Let's take a look at the releases this week and gauge who is likely to divide the attention of cine-goers, who are still hooked to Love Aaj Kal.
Agyaat: Promos running on television just makes this film stand nowhere. All thanks to the amazing star cast RGV has zeroed on. RGV and UTV isn't enough to lure the audience, considering the fate of
RGV's films in the recent past.
Moreover, it's high time that filmmakers should realize the essence of STAR power. Indian audience still goes by the star value. Priyanka Kothari alone has no potential to make
wonders at the box-office. On the whole, RGV can back upon his hard-core fans and aage Rab Hi Rakha.
Teree Sang: Newcomer Sheena Shahabadi's blown belly all over the hoardings has definitely grabbed the attention. The promos showcasing a teenage girl pregnant have a potential to woo the audience.
The film has a better chance over the other two to keep the box-office ticking, at least for the weekend. Satish Kaushik's A kidult film has been well-marketed and has a fair chance to work with word-of-mouth
publicity if it has substantial elements to vouch for.
Chal Chalein: Does anyone know about this film? Who is in the main lead? Well, Chal Chalein definitely needs a strong word-of-mouth, if et al few people go to watch.
Poor promotional measures
have landed this film in a big soup where no one has a slightest idea about this film. And what compounds the reason for further misery is the poor star cast. Overall, a film that has nothing in it to woo the audience into
theatres.
