It was "Damm" which made Diya Mirza change her mind. Finding little success in tinsel world she had almost decided to get married and settle down. But then, E, Niwas' "Damm" made the difference. Though the movie did not do well but the role rendered by Diya earned her a lot of acclaim.

She dealt as the beloved of Vivek Oberoi. She wanted to see her love reach heights of success (all in the movie). There was newness in her role. Such has been the impact of Diya's talent in "Damm" that Vasu Bhagnani, who had once turned her out of his film, is now again considering to recast her. No one was ever in doubt her beauty and sex appeal but now her talent too has been tested.
