Chintuji, the title itself compels the admirers and non-admirers of the veteran actor to at least give it a shot despite the very evident lack of hype and promotions.
Now let's come out of the reel world and hit the reality. Chintuji is definitely not an out of box work. But the film promises to outshine for its simplistic nature.
A mixture of simple yet beautiful story with simple characters is what this film is all about.
Director Ranjit Kapoor has smartly added new dimensions to the real life facts of the veteran actor.
The story revolves around of course Chintuji who wants to make it big in politics and chooses his hometown township Hadbahedi as a constituency.
This decision takes shape when the residents of Hadbahedi unhappy with neglected condition of the state decide to invite Chintuji in an aspiration of any improvement. However, Chintuji dreams are restricted to the personal interest and how the story shapes up after that is worth watching.
Chintuji indisputably is the heart and soul of the film. To see his performance is a sheer treat. Yes, Chintuji will add on to Rishi Kapoor's most accomplished work so far.
Priyanshu Chatterjee fits in the bill perfectly. Kulraj Randhawa looks promising. Grusha Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla are simply outstanding.
On the whole, Chintuji will definitely rule the roost as compared to the other films releasing this week. It's a sheer treat for one and all.
