Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma says he prefers making thrillers rather than candyfloss NRI stories.

"Some people have a fascination for making family dramas and I find making thrillers much exciting. And what's wrong with it?...any day it's better than making NRI stories, " Varma, whose last release was the horror thriller "Agyaat", told.

In the past, the director has helmed thrillers like "Kaun", "Jungle", "Bhoot" and "Darna Marna Hai" among others.
