Filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh is a true professional. The director who will be debuting as an actor in Kaushik Ganguly's Chhaya Chhobi, has taken a lot of trouble to get into the skin of his character. He has lost a lot of weight to play a gay character.

Ganguly admits that Rituparno is doing the role very seriously. He has met gay people in order to make his character look authentic.

He also went to a workshop to learn menial jobs because he plays a servant in one part of the film. He isn't even directing any films as long as he's working on this one. While he has lost weight by following a strict regime of gym and dieting, a lot of rumors about him having undergone a sex change operation are doing the rounds.

Ganguly, however, dismissed the rumors and claimed that Rituparno has always been physically tender.
