Mani Ratnam's Ravana has been the object of everyone's curiosity. News that Abhishek Bachchan will be playing the title role leaked out quite some time ago. Aishwarya Rai plays Sita while Vikram plays Rama was also given out. However, everyone was still eager to know who would play Mandodari, Ravana's favorite wife. The news is out. Bipasha Basu has been chosen to play Mandodari. It was earlier speculated that she had an item number in the film but a close friend of hers has confirmed that it is a proper role, which can be credited as a guest appearance. Bipasha has been asked to keep secret about her role by Mani Ratnam. Her outfits are ready and she's delighted with the look. Her role is said to be a 40-minute one for which she will shoot for 20 days.
