"Chitrangada Singh was my original choice, " says Arsala Qureishi, the director of The Unforgettable. Yes, the talented actor was approached by the duo-directors Arsala and Sabrina for the role that eventually went to another talent Sofia Hayat.

"We had reached out to Chitrangada, but she by that time had withdrawn into matrimony and parenthood, and thus wasn't keen on cinema.

Dejected by this we moved to foreign shores and opted for the stunning Sofia Hayat. Sofia who just had her autobiography released by ‘Amazon' was more than happy to slide into the role, " exclaim Arsala and Sabrina.

As reliable sources reveal, "Interestingly, as things turned out, Arsala had to make some changes to suit Sofia's persona and had to also make it explicit sexually to lend strength to the characters. But if she had cast Chitrangada, Arsala's script and story would not have the hot scenes, which are integral to the storyline today."

The Unforgettable is an English film slated to release in India on September 11.
