While Akshay Kumar is not counted among actors who pull his film shootings on for more than three to four months, his
film, Hello India has been ongoing since 1999.
The movie began filming in 1999, after which it was shelved
within 15 days. The team renewed the project in 2003 and shot for it right from the beginning. Again, the film was done
away with after it had finished shooting for about 30 percent. The film was taken up again in 2008 and it is almost done,
but its release is still being delayed.
The reason behind this is that Akshay's recent films– Chandni Chowk to
China, Tasveer 8x10 and Kambhakkt Ishq haven't done very well. So, the producers have decided to wait until Akshay's
upcoming films, Blue and De Dana Dan release and are hits. The release date is set to the end of January
2010.
However, director Shabnam Kapoor claims that this isn't the reason behind the film's delay and that it is
being released late only because there are still four hours of shooting left where she needs to bring together the entire
cast of the film.
