Everybody knows about Aishwarya's new found love for the parallel cinema. She created lot of fuss when she signed Rituparna Ghosh´s 'Choker Bali', in which Nandita was slated to play the lead role. But our Ash's charm won in the end and she grabbed the role from Nandita's kitty.

Now the real news is that Ash's 'Choker Bali' may not be considered for the national award for no fault of the dazzling beauty. Due to Aishwarya´s accident on the sets of Raj Kumar Santoshi's Khakhi, Choker Bali´s post production was getting delayed and so the director got Aishwarya´s voice dubbed by an artiste called, Shreela Mazumdar.

According to rules, once an original artist's voice is dubbed then his/her performance cannot be considered for national awards.This is all the more unfortunate as those who have seen the rushes of ‘Choker Bali', term Aishwarya Rai´s performance as brilliant.
