Some actors are truly very professional. So much so, that they can go to any lengths to prepare for the role.

To get into the character for his upcoming film, Karthik Calling Karthik, Farhan Akhtar locked himself up in the house and refused to meet anyone or talk to them for eight days. He didn't even interact with his own family members.

He also stopped working out at the gym as the character is very boy-next-door. After doing this for eight days continuously, he shot for the film.

But this activity caused him to go into a shell and it had a bad effect on his mind. He then took a two weeklong holiday. After he got back, he worked out at the gym and then regained his lost confidence. He is now getting back to his busy schedule and also meeting up with friends.
