Well this is what indirectly the soap queen, Ekta Kapoor meant for the lead, Supriya Kumari during the press conference of her new show Bairi Piya on COLORS. She has always been known for discovering a new face on Indian television.

"I didn't know that Surpiya was in Agle Janam... If I knew that, I wouldn't have gone for her as a lead in my show. I would have preferred if there was a new face, " said Ekta.

When asked of the trend that she is following other the creative head of Balaji quips, "All I can say is that I am swimming in the same sea but little faster than other. Bairi Piya is not a copy of any show but I will portray it to audience with my perception."

The discoveries of Ekta has always been successful and lucky too. Kritika Kamra (Arohi), Arjun (Kunal Kundra), Shubhangini (Kasturi) are the few examples of her invention which had buzzed the small screen industry. But this time it seems Ekta broke her own trend, isn't it?
