Giselli Monteiro, the Brazilian-turned-Punjabi kudi in Love Aaj Kal, may team up with director Imtiaz Ali again; for a soap
ad. It will be shot in Rajasthan on October 2.
Says Imtiaz, "I want Giselli to do the ad. But it's a full-on gori-memsaab's part. It's rather ironic that a Brazilian girl has
acquired such a strong desi image. Giselli, with her black hair and Indian features and her Harleen image from LAK
doesn't fitting the bill for the gori mem's ad."
The commercial requires a Caucasian girl whereas Giselli after Love Aaj Kal has acquired a strong Indian image.
It is learnt that Imtiaz's efforts to convince the people behind the ad are still on.
