Sharad Kelkar is back with his new avatar in Balaji's venture Bairi Piya. The actor is portraying the role of Thakur in the
show and for the first time the he is essaying a grey shade on television.
"I am portraying the role of Thakur Devendra Singh, a landlord of Vidharbh. Yes there are grey shades and hope that
audience accept me in this role, " says Sharad.
What made you take up this show? "Definitely the script and my role which is very powerful made me take up this show.
For the first time I am playing such kind of character. I wear expensive clothes. Also I am very serious when it comes to
business but at home I am a totally different person all together, " he adds.
Isn't your look very similar to that of Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi of Bandini? "Well I don't think so it similar but I would like
to say that all Thakur's do look like this only so there cant be any comparisons, " he explains.
How much does the TRP's matter to you? "Of course it's all the matter of TRP's. If the script of the show is good and the
selections of actors are right, it will work. One will get the viewership which will definitely boost the TRP's. This is the
game and I truly believe in it, " he concludes.
