Following Ram Gopal Verma's league, Guddu Dhanoa comes up with his genre of horror film 'Hawa'. The film stars Tabu in a supernatural thriller, the kind of role she never potrayed. She plays a divorced woman with two kids who runs an antiques shop located in the hilly enviorns.
The story takes a weird trun when she is stranded in a haunted house during their vacations. But unlike Bhoot the evil spirit doesn't possess her but abuses her physically. Rest of the story deals with trauma and her battle of survival. Tabu, who never belived in for the project.
Hawa is shot in Kulu Manali in a straight forty-day schedule. Guddu Dhanoa who has seen the box office failures of his previous films, Bichhoo and Shaheed: 23 March 1931, pinning all his hope on this low budget quicky.
