After films like Satta and Daman, people started thinking of Raveena as a thinking actress but even her new found charisma couldn't save her maiden venture 'Stumped'. Amid the charges of plagiarism, the film bombed at the box office in the very first week itself. The 'Mast Mast' girl has now found a scapegoat in director Gaurab Pandey and blames him for the failure of the film.
"I was shocked when I first saw 'Stumped' after it was completed. The storyline had been altered so drastically that I no longer recognised the film we started out to make. Even though it was my company Reel Life Entertainment that was producing 'Stumped', Gaurab saw fit to make any number of changes without taking me into confidence. To be honest I was sure the film would bomb at the box office", she admits.
Raveena candidly admits that deep down she always knew that film will bomb at the box office. "Stumped has been a valuable learning experience. I am certainly disappointed with what happened and it will be a long long time before I work with Mr Pandey again. Having burnt my fingers once, I will stick to tried-and-tested themes in future." she says.
