Critically acclaimed director Priyadarshan is gearing up to direct yet another realistic film on AIDS and he is planning to
rope Aamir Khan and Tabu in the lead role. This will be the first time the pair will be seen together on-screen. The two
had earlier starred in Fanaa but didn't have any scenes together.
Priyan confirms Aamir's presence in the 95-minute realistic, yet-untitled film on AIDS.
Priyadarshan tells a daily that he'd love to have Tabu on board and sees no hitch in the pairing. "I wanted to make this
film a year back. But I wanted to see the reaction to my other realistic film Kanchivaram. Now that I know my audience
is as open to watching my more realistic films as my comedies, I've approached Aamir for my film on AIDS."
He also dismissed rumours that he had initially thought of casting Akshay Kumar in the movie.
"It was Aamir from the beginning. I wanted an actor whose voice could take the message to every cross-section of the
audience. Aamir has loved my idea. Now he wants to see the script, " he adds.
