Shruti Haasan is all set to tests the waters down south. After impressing both critics and audiences with her compositions in ‘Unnaipol Oruvan' which stars her father Kamal Haasan, Shruti is back to acting.

While going through a lot of Hindi scripts, given her special connection to the south, Shruti is excited about doing a south Indian film as it holds a special importance in her heart.

The beautiful actress has signed on a Telugu movie where she'll be cast with Siddharth (of Rang de Basanti fame). It'll be directed by Prakash Rao, a National Award winning director who will be directing his first feature film that's based on fantasy. The shooting is scheduled to commence in Hyderabad around mid-november.

Shruti Haasan's scorching good looks and killer attitude seems to have won her a bevy of admirers. Combine that with her rock star status and talent inherited from her parents Shruti sure has all the makings of a future star!
