According to the latest buzz Vishal Bhardwaj is gearing up to bring a remake of Academy Award winning movie, ‘The Departed'. Hrithik will be playing the character played by Leonardo Di Caprio in the English version.

The movie being a dark thriller will be shot at an apt location in Mumbai. And just like Leo, Hrithik will play an undercover cop in the movie. Hehas to be fully fit by the time movie starts to roll; right now, he is suffering from a knee injury and has been warned not to indulge in any kind risky stunts.

Though Hrithik is finalized; the actor who will play the role of another important character, played by Matt Damon is not yet known.

‘The Departed' won four awards at the 79th Academy Awards but in case you didn't already know, the film was itself a remake of the 2002 Hong Kong film 'Infernal Affairs', with Andy Lau as the informant and Tony Leung as the undercover cop infiltrating the gang of the criminal overlord Eric Tsang.

Infernal Affairs still remains the highest grossing movie of all time in Hong Kong.
