Riteish Deshmukh, who is usually a very carefree and happy person, has been brooding lately. A lot of people thought it is because his last release, Aladin didn't do good business. Here's the real reason– he's preparing for his character for his next film, Rann, directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

He has been reporting to the sets of the film in a very bad and serious mood. This led to rumours that he has issues with the director or with his role. But he is simply trying to perfect his character. This will be the first time audiences will see Riteish in a serious role and is very opposed to the usual light roles he plays.

According to sources, the director asked Riteish to be serious and broody while shooting for Rann. Riteish doesn't even smile when the shooting isn't on, showing how seriously he's taken the instructions.
