Boom! Katrina is in trouble. Just a few days after admitting that Boom isn't the best launching pad for her, poor girl has found her nemesis in National Institute of Fashion Design. The premier fashion Institute of India is accusing Katrina of playing truant and demanding an "unconditional apology" for breaching the modeling contract.
According to NIFD, Katrina had given a commitment to model garments designed by institute's students at a show in Nagpur on September 10. With the date of the show drawing closer, officials at NIFD had sent Katrina a cheque for Rs 35,000 along with air tickets from Mumbai to Nagpur and back.
Now, Katrina is making all sort of excuses to opt out of her assignment due to her budding career in the Bollywood. But people at NIFD aren't willing to lend her an ear and demand that either Katrina must make it to Nagpur on September 10 or pay them Rs 1 crore in damages.
Katrina and three associates of Mumbai's Matrix India Entertainment Consultants have been issued notices. In the civil suit filed by the institute in the court of Mr Sanjay Sandhir, Kaif has been summoned to appear before the court at 10 am on September 9.
