The jinx is over. A little oomph and a little flesh has earned Isha all the meaty roles in her wish-list. "Despite having ten regional films behind me, I failed to make my mark as an actress. A little sex appeal does wonders for your career and I realized it the hard way", she exclaims.
After watching her 'Company' and 'Kaante' act, if you're passing her off as just another 'material girl' then you are mistaken. The sultry siren has some other plans. She is demanding some meaningful roles (sans her jhatkas) for herself and already got one in Chandraprakash Dwivedi's Pinjar.
"I play Rajjo, a Hindu girl in Punjab. Lilette Dubey (Tara) plays my mother and Urmila Matondkar (Puro) my sister," she says and confesses that the character of Rajjo is close to her heart. "With Rajjo, I've broken free from a sexy-siren image," exults Isha.
A little birdie also tells us that one more reason that makes Pinjar special to her is Priyanshu Chatterjee. Priyanshu plays Trilok, her brother, in the film and the duo got a bit too cosy on the sets.
