The music of this film has been composed by Rajesh Roy and the background score is accredited to Kalyan Sen Barat. Bollywood singers like Shaan and Shibani Kashyap have also lent their voices for the musical film.

"The film is an out-an-out musical. The high points of the movie lie in its freshness- new faces seen on the Bengali screen for the first time, along with a wonderful mélange of music that caters to everybody.

The scale of the film as well as its conception- from sets, locations, costumes, to actual treatment of the movie is huge and unheard of before in Tollywood, " said a spokesperson of the production house.

‘Pa Ma Ga Re Saa' is a story of love, purity of art and the maturing of human relationships.

Samrat Sen (Rohit Roy) is a renowned Bengali pop singer, celebrated for his extraordinary flair for composing as well as writing melodies.

At a performance in Shillong, he discovers a rare musical talent in Paromita (Resshmi Ghosh). Samrat and his secretary- cum-friend Rangan (Shaswata Mukherjee) both decide to bring Paromita to Kolkata to enthrall the city's music lovers with her voice. This gives way to the blooming of romance between the two.

Enter Rai (Gauri Karnik), the famous daughter of Pandit Surya Sekhar, who returns to her hometown Kolkata after rocking America with her unique talent in Bangla pop. She ropes in Samrat to help her cut her first album in the city.

What follows is a complex string of relationship tangles encroached by human egos, misunderstandings and some shocking revelations in the climax as skeletons from the past come knocking by.
