Some people make news even when they are not in action. Bipasha basu is just one of them. The Bong beauty created a lot of buzz with her steamy 'Jism' and was quite over with it too, when this latest controversy cropped up in the south.
Currently, the film by Pooja Bhatt is shown in Chennai in its Tamil version called 'Deham'. It's screening has to be stopped amidst the protest from few Congressmen who created ruckus by ripping the posters of Deham (body).
The Congressmen are objecting to "derogatory references" to the AIACC president Sonia Gandhi, her daughter Priyanka and AICC general secretary Kamal Nath in the film.
According to them, the villains in Deham were given the names of Sonia, Priyanka and Kamalnath, contrary to Jism, where only the heroine goes under the name of Sonia.
The north Chennai district president of Congress, Royapuram Mano and three others were arrested and remanded for 15 days judicial custody on Monday for storming the Bharath theatre.
Talking to mediapersons, the TNCC president S. Balakrishnan said that screening of the film had been stopped in all the four theatres in the city. Attempts were also being made to get Mano released on bail.
