Soon after Mr. Tarak Mehta, the original writer of the famed serial ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma' celebrated his 81st birthday on 25th of December 2009, two days after the birthday turned out to be a dark day for his family members,!

Our source from the production house informs, "After Tarakji's birthday, he had a brain hemorrhage due to which he was hospitalized in Ahmedabad. By Gods grace there was a close relative who had just came down from America who is a nerve specialist and he had him treated immediately."

"The writer is in I.C.U currently but is now out of danger. Most of the cast of ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma' has visited Ahmedabad to enquire about his well-being. Today the producer of the show, Ramesh Modi will be in Ahmedabad to see the writer," adds the source.
