Aishwarya opts out of Bobby Bedi's much hyped colonial-era epic, 'The Rising', is stale news. We'll tell you another hot story, which claims that former Miss Universe Lara Dutta wooed Hollywood much before Aishwarya.
Making a tall claim, Lara says that she was offered the lead role in one of the biggest Hollywood movie, Matrix, just when she won the coveted crown at the beauty pageant.
She doesn't stop here and adds that she was offered to play the heroine in ‘Matrix II' and ‘Matrix III' way back in the year 2000.
Ask her is there were any particular reasons for the denials and she says, "The role did not enthuse me at all. Moreover, I was tied up with my obligations as a newly crowned Miss Universe."
The pretty lady has no regrets about the whole episode as she has the handful of lucrative offers in the Bollywood itself.
It seems like Lara's loss is Carrie-Anne Moss's gain who is now playing the lead role in the latest Matrix movie.
But on the second thought, who needs the Hollywood anyway? Right Lara?
