People are finding the cast of "Ishqiya" an interesting mix of actors, but debutant director Abhishek Chaubey reveals that the casting happened just by chance.

"When we (Vishal Bhardwaj and Chaubey) finished the script, the only actor we had clear in the mind was Naseeruddin Shah because of his elegance and grace. Also, because his age fitted the bill. The rest just happened by chance, " Chaubey told at a press conference in the Big Cinemas here Thursday.

"Then Vishal recommended Vidya Balan. I wasn't sure about casting her till I met her. In 10 minutes, I realised that she was perfect to play Krsihna. Arshad was the last person I met for the role and once he heard the script, he was convinced and agreed to do the film, " he added.

The movie is releasing Jan 29.
