Behind all those glittering arch-lights, glamour world is a strange place to be. Despite being full of treachery and deceit, some scale to the unbelievable height while others get doomed even before their careers begin to flourish.
Take Cleo Isaacs for an example. After creating a lot of buzz in fashion circle, Cleo entered the glam world with music videos. But her transition from ramp to reel has been anything but smooth.
After getting a plum role in Padam Kumar`s 'Supari', Cleo crash-landed out of the film when director gave her a thumb-down for no obvious reasons.
But Cleo was hardly fazed as she still had a lead role in Sanjay Gupta's 'Plan' courtesy Sanju baba, who sung paeans about the lovely lady in front of Gupta.
But that was before her relations with Dutt turned sour. The poor girl was dumped again and sultry Sameera Reddy replaced her in the film.
"The world is full of opportunistic people. Sanjay Dutt took me for a ride. I was led to believe that I was the first and only choice for the role," she rues.
Her recent criticism hasn't drawn any answer from Dutt but it led Sanjay Gupta to come forward with a reply.
"We shortlist a number of girls for the lead before each film. Unfortunately only one gets chosen. Sameera appeared to fit the role better than anyone else so we decided to take her," says Gupta.
Has all this deceit swayed Cleo's path? "Certainly not!" insists the doe-eyed beauty.
"I am trying to forget the past and make a new beginning. I would love to do films but having burnt my fingers not once, but twice, I will look very hard before I take the leap", she quips.
