Urmila has started her year on a high note. She just won the Star Screen Award for her power-packed performance in 'Bhoot'.
Barely a fortnight into a New Year and the pretty lady has already managed a hit like 'Ek Hasina Thi' under her belt.
How does she manage to strike gold?
"I'm obsessive about my work. I consciously choose assignments and filmmakers I'm comfortable with. 'Ek Hasina Thi' was a wonderful film. I've never encountered a more realistic thriller. Director Sriram Raghavan has treated the theme in a realistic manner," she says.
Giving her the due break from the melodramatic roles, which she has been playing lately, 'Ek Hasina thi' portrays Urmila as a naive girl who's wronged by her love.
Despite being the most happening actress at the moment, Urmila is still single. Why?
"Where's the time for love in my life? Does anyone realise how tough it's for an actress to concentrate on her work? You've to perform while hundreds of people are staring at you. But nevertheless, Love is a beautiful feeling," she gushes.
The actress is a thorough professional and doesn't hesitate to draw a line between her professional and private life.
"Just because there're such beautiful and high profile people in this profession, do we have to be under a microscope all the time? I come from a completely non-cinema background. My life goes beyond films." declares Matondkar.
