If you'd visit sets of 'The Rising', you'll find out that no one is ecstatic except Amisha Patel. And why not? The Gujju girl has got the role of her life, in this fairly jinxed project by Ketna Mehta.
"I am delighted to be part of 'The Rising'. In fact I'd been offered a role earlier and I wasn't able to do it because of date problems. Working with Aamir is like a dream come true," says Amisha, who had pretty thanda career despite delivering some good hits at the box office.
Mehta approached Patel after A(ice)warya gave him the cold shoulder and refused to carry on with the project.
But Ash's loss is Amisha's gain. Her tryst with Aamir has given the much-needed fillip to the career. As a result the gujju lass is back in the reckoning and offers have started pouring in once again.
Is she going to be choosy about her work this time?
"Not in particular," she says, "The project has to interest me, the director doesn't matter much. I don't mind working with a young director if the role has meat."
Sure! Is Vikram Bhatt listening?
