After charming Bollywood and its fans for years pretty actress Juhi is headed north and is spreading her charm in the land of farmers- Punjab.

Juhi's Punjabi film 'Sukhmani- Hope For Life' has hit the theatres not just in Punjab but Haryana, Mumbai, Delhi and few cities abroad too. The actress stars along with superstar Gurdas Maan and apparently that's not all, as Juhi has a big surprise in store for her fans in the film.

The peppy actress is exploring new territories by lending her vocals to two songs in the film. The superb actress has turned professional singer with songs 'Nanhi Si Gudiya' and 'Preeto'.

With her Punjabi songs she is all set to create magic with her beautiful vocals, confirms Gurdas Maan, "I had heard her recitation of Punjabi lines written by Jagjit Singh and I made my wife Manjeet, who has directed the film hear it.

Apparently she liked it so much that she wanted Juhi to sing a song for the movie and that is how Juhi ended up singing two of the tracks. Juhi has a beautiful voice."

What's more Gurdas tells us that Juhi always had the knack for singing as he narrates, "I remember when we were shooting for 'Des Hoyaa Pardes' she was staying in the room next to mine.

Once early in the morning I heard someone one singing and so I asked her whether she heard the voice in the morning and she then replied that it was her who was singing.

She is a very dedicated artist and I have always seen her carrying her Tanpura along everywhere she goes, this even a professional singer might not be doing. She is no less than a professional singer; in future she will shine as a good singer as Juhi is very devoted to her work."

Looks like Juhi Chawla who is a big screen star of Bollywood and Punjabi cinema may soon become a singing star if we go by words of superstar Gurdas Maan.

So, Juhi is a star in making all over again only this time she'll be singing not acting.
