It all began with a heated argument followed by a few slaps and before you could even blink they were taking each other by fisticuffs. No, this isn't a regular street fight scene from any Bollywood movie. It's a scene from a very prestigious award show held in a gulf country, claims a leading daily.
The Morani brothers — Ali, Karim and Mohammed, managed the show.
According to report, Shah Rukh Khan and Amar Singh got into an altercation leading to a scuffle wherein Singh abused the actor and also tried to physically assault him.
Back in Mumbai, SRK was heard yelling at the pitch of his voice claiming, "There is no truth to it. Nothing of the sort happened."
"Scuffles and fights involving me? It's a joke! Only after I was back in Mumbai did someone tell me that I was supposed to have been a part of such an incident! In fact when Karim came and told me that Amarji and Amitji were upset at the seating arrangements it was I who told him to apologise to them immediately and sort it out by giving them first row seats," he says.
It was also reported that after the incident Singh and Bachchan refused to wait for Khan and flew back on the Ambani jet leaving him stranded.
"That's not true either," exhorts Shah Rukh and clarifies, "I had told Amitji earlier that if I was late they should leave without me. I wanted to be there when the Lifetime Achievement was being presented to Yashji (Johar) as I respect him a lot and he's very dear to me."
Khan says that Amar Singh wanted him to have a press conference in Delhi where both of them can have a jaadoo ki jhappi and sort everything out.
