It's one of those scoops you don't get to read too often. And when it involves someone like Mallika 'no-holds-barred' Sherawat, it becomes a rare feast to the eyes.
The news is that, Mallika has refused to do a nude a scene (???) for Mahesh Bhatt's thriller 'Murder'. Yes sir, don't blink your eyes in amazement, it's true and the pretty girl had to pay a price for her refusal too. The Jat girl drew a lot of flak from Bhatt after she showed her reluctance to do such a bold scene.
But how hot the scene would be that even Mallika grew cold feet before doing it?
"It was a completely nude scene. I told her that I'd be using a wide angle and even bring in a body double. The shot required her to swim in the pool with no clothes on. While she agreed to do it initially but developed cold feet a day before the shooting," says the peeved Bhatt.
The onlookers claim that the veteran director wasn't at all forgiving when he was shouting at Mallika for playing truant. But Mallika isn't holding any grudges.
"I wasn't comfortable with the scene though I agreed to do it earlier, that's why I backed out. I am my own best censor and will not do anything I am not comfortable with. Despite the latest fracas I still believe that Bhatt's banner remains the safest for any girl to work in Bollywood." she says.
Feeling disappointed? Well... don't be, after all, all these moral qualms can't stop Mallika from showing the ample skin.
"I have some very steamy scenes in the film and am already getting calls from women's organisations who want them removed. But I couldn't care less since I don't subscribe to hypocrisy."
"Why do we have to be so apologetic about being called brazen and sexy? While I am not here to titillate, I will not say sorry for my charms. It's time we all grew up and learnt to accept things for what they are," she quips.
