If you think Mallika is all about a loud mouth, skimpy bikinis and wet lip locks, think again. The pretty lady has a very balanced head over her shoulders and a whole new philosophy on woman-lib.
Dig a wee bit deeper into her mind and she'll deluge you with her revolutionary thoughts. From women emancipation to sex, Sherawat has very strong views about everything.
But what perturbs her the most is the 'fake' virginal image of women painted in India, which makes her infallible.
"What's the great fuss about virginity," she questions.
"One of our most famous mythological heroines - Draupadi - was polyandrous. But over the time we have started taking the puritanical legacy left behind by the British as "Indian Culture". Such standards have handcuffed our society. But, the winds of change have definitely started sneaking in," says Mallika.
She doesn't see much of difference between eastern and western literature, which portrays women either as Femme Enfant or the Femme Fatale. But it's the character somewhere in between Sita and the Apsara she likes to relate herself to.
And when it comes to sexuality, expect no mercy from this Jat girl.
"What's wrong in being sexy? In fact, I love it when people refer as one. You can't impose your views on anyone. It all depends on perceptions - one man's porn is another man's art. And unless the man's gay, what's he going to gaze at - cows and pine trees," she asks.
