There are very few people who make news when they DON'T take off their clothes and Mallika Sherawat is just one of them. From 17 smooches of 'Khwahish' to bareback in 'Murder', Mallika has come a long way whilst exploring her body beautiful.
Bold topics don't bother her nor do the bold filmmakers. But Mahesh Bhatt got a surprise of his life when Sherawat refused to go completely nude in front of his lens saying, "Even I have some morals. I too have a censor board in me."
Was it just a publicity stunt or she actually grew the scruples?
"This is the problem with the press," said Mallika. "If we (actors) don't speak up, they say we are hiding too many things. When we speak, they say it is a publicity stunt. We are in a fix. We just don't understand how to interact with the press."
But the controversies don't stop her from going gaga over the subject of the film.
"It is a very relevant subject. Youngsters will enjoy the film," she says, adding, "I play a married woman who falls in love with a man, because her husband is not paying enough attention to her. It is a very thoughtful film and a must-see for all the people who don't pay enough attention to their wives."
And those who're planning to corner Mallika for her bold portrayal once again, she has a message for you too.
"I get very angry if someone criticises women in Hindi films for their bold roles. Watch the music videos being aired today. Women expose too much. No one says anything to them. Why are they after Hindi films and me," she fumes.
Murder, a loose remake of Hollywood's 'Unfaithful', is about a married woman who embarks on a passionate affair with her ex-lover.
