Shruti Haasan may not have struck gold with her Bollywood debut. However, she has found good opportunities down South, where her father Kamal Haasan is a superstar.

AR Murugadoss, the Ghajini director, has signed on Shruti for a film opposite Suriya, who played the lead role in the Tamil version of Ghajini. She will also be doing a Telugu film.

And though people assume that her father's status in the South is behind her getting all these offers, some of the people close to the actress would like to believe otherwise. They state that it's the music she composed for Unnaipol Oruvan that's getting her all these chances.

All right, all right! If it is the music that brings all these chances, she could try composing music for a few Bollywood films. Maybe it'll open some doors.
