Ever wondered why Bipasha Basu has started to seem like an ice maiden all of a sudden? The sexual revolution she started, now, seem nothing more than a titillating tale. We'll tell you.
It's courtesy this woman, called Mallika, the once sex kitten Bips looks like a tamed cat now. You can guess the gravity of the situation from the fact that the opening hit of the year from Bhatts feature Sherawat instead of their sultry muse Bips.
"It's all destiny and hard work," gushes Mallika.
"I've slogged like crazy to get where I am. And those who think it's just my body that got me where I am, they should take a look at the others who have rushed in after me. They haven't gone beyond their first feverish film," she says.
With Murder running to the pack theatres, Mallika has savoured the first success of her life.
"I have worked like a Viagra at a time when the market was so down," exults Sherawat at the promotional visit to one of the theatres in Delhi where her movie is screened.
Known for bold statements and even bolder antics on screen Mallika doesn't shy away from giving the due credit to Bipasha.
"I have always looked up to Bipasha and she has certainly opened a lot of doors for many actresses like us. But I don't want to compete against anyone. I think I am one of a kind," she says.
While it may seem like Bipasha has won one more fan but in reality, the odds are in favour of Mallika, who has successfully wrested the crown of sex-goddess from her mentor. If you can't get how ambitious Mallika is, picture one of her recent statement.
"I can defeat the Prime Minister in an electoral battle. The youth of this country will propel me to victory. In fact a political party approached me to campaign for it but I refused."
