Now here is some competition for Mallika Sherawat, who's been reigning the Bollywood with her cloth-loathe and it comes from none other than Kashmira Shah, who crooned a sizzling item number in Sherawat's 'Murder'.
Playing a ragpicker in her latest film 'Revati', Shah has shot for Oh-Soo-Sexy bathing scene depicting her semi-nude in full camera view but definitely not without a cost.
An opulent bathroom set alone has cost producer Vikas Kate Rs 11 Lakh.
According to an insider, "It's so steamy that it is going to make Mallika Sherawat blush".
The moral brigade on high alert but Kashmira is hardly unfazed.
Defending her hot act Shah says, "I have shot a bathing song in a bathroom, I cannot be fully-clad. But the bold scene has a unique blend of erotica and pathos. That's because I play a poor ragpicker, who has never had a proper bath, except when she gets drenched in heavy rain. I'm optimistic that the Censors will check-out the scenes in the context of the heart-rending theme of the film."
Directed by Farooqh Siddiqui, 'Revati' is story of an illiterate ragpicker from Hyderabad, who gives into temptation when a Ritchie-rich offers her luxury solely entitled to his ilk.
Pinning all her hopes on riches to rags act, Kashmira is sure to make some dent with the thinking people in the industry.
"This is an intense role and I am sure audiences will recall the late actress Smita Patil when they watch my performance," says Shah, who was last seen in a ‘Janasheen' playing femme fatale.
