Megha, who was here Saturday to walk the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) for designer Reynu Taandon, has done one Bengali film till now and made her Bollywood debut in 2009 with "Ruslaan", but the movie was a lost opportunity for the actress.
Now she also wants to start modelling professionally, without sacrificing on her film career.
"I am not going to say that I will give up films. Films will definitely continue. But just because I am doing films. I realise that it does not give me an excuse not to concentrate on a modelling career as well. Who says you can't do both?" Megha told reporters backstage before the show.
"In fact I am on the verge of signing a new film. I am not supposed to reveal the source from where I have received the offer - but if everything goes well, it will be taking off a little after June. Actually, they are still looking for a producer, " she added.
The actress is open to all sorts of films, irrespective of language and genre.
"I will do all kind of films, provided good offers come to me. Because I don't think getting work in the industry is a problem, it is getting good work which really counts, " she said.
Megha, who sported a short, black cocktail dress, was accompanied by her mother for her first major fashion show. Moushmi too sported a Reynu Taandon outfit - a black and white sari - and looked extremely elegant.
