Will Lara Dutta replace Priyanka Chopra in Suneel Darshan's Barsaat? The buzz is that Suneel Darshan has managed to convince Akshay Kumar to do his next film, but the question is will Priyanka Chopra continue to be in the project?

According to the industry grapevine, Priyanka may have to opt out of the project because of her alleged link-up with Akshay. Suneel Darshan maintains that only Akshay has been finalised, while the leading lady of the film is still being considered. But Priyanka's business manager Prakash Jaju confirmed, "Priyanka is doing the film and there is no reason for her opt out of the project.Darshan has also clarified that both Priyanka and Lara had a commitment with his banner, though he hasn't yet decided on the female cast of Barsaat.

What comes to mind though are media reports about Akshay's alleged affair with co-star Priyanka that had disturbed wife Twinkle. It was also rumoured that Akshay was promoting Priyanka for all his films. Now the actor has decided to avoid being cast with Priyanka.

But is Lara Dutta being considered for the role? "Lara is away for stage shows and we haven't been approached yet. Besides, I will have to wait till Lara comes back for any decision to be taken," said Lara's business manager Sanjay Upadhyay.
